Our villa is located within a few miles of the major parks, Disney, Universal and Seaworld, and only a 60 minute journey to Busch Gardens at Tampa. That's where you'll find the most roller coasters in one park and so many amazing animals, we'd really recommend making the journey.
Of the Disney parks younger children will love Magic Kingdom, you'll never get tired of Race Track and Soaring in Epcot. Animal Kingdom is great for, yep you've guessed it, animals and the Everest roller coaster ride. Three great attractions too in Hollywood Studios, the Tower of Terror, Rockin' Roller Coaster and the Lights, Motor, Action! Extreme Stunt Show is a must see.
There are two Disney Water Parks, Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. Both are brilliant, an excellent chance for the kids to wear themselves out on the flumes, while the adults relax in the lazy river.
Disney also has the Downtown Disney area where you can shop in the Marketplace, eat in the many restaurants or be enthralled at Cirque du Soleil La Nouba, simply spectacular.
If you like a little more adventure, or the slight faster ride, you my want to take a trip down Universal's CityWalk. This area also have eateries, but for the thrill seeker, two amazing parks ,Universal Studios and Universal Island of Adventure, where you'll find the new Harry Potter ride.
Seaworld has something for all the family, two excellent roller coasters, especially the the new Manta ride. You can feed dolphins and stingrays, watch Clyde and Seamoore get marooned (recommend getting there early for the pre show mime), Blue Horizons show dolphins and more, and Shamu the killer whale show. Usually a long but fabulous day.
If you'd like an up close experience with dolphins and a myriad of other beautiful marine animals we'd really recommend Discovery Cove. We particularly enjoyed the snorkeling and all you can eat restaurants. You'll need to pre book this attraction as they limit the number of visitors per day.
Aquatica is Sea World's water Park, the upside down black and white dolphins are fascinating and there are a couple of very good flumes. Be sure not to take any sandwiches with you, unless you don't mind leaving them in a locker outside the park!
Surfing on Florida's East coast at Coca Beach is excellent and fish and chips at the end of the pier are er... interesting. A fascinating day can also be had at the Kennedy Space Centre which is only a 50 minute drive from the villa.
If you like to take in the scenes of International Drive (about a 20 minute journey from the villa), there are restaurants from the cheap to the expensive, helicopter rides, amusement arc hades, and huge shopping malls where you can pick up some really good deals
You may want to head south and visit the Florida Everglades National Park which is around a four hour drive, so you might want to book a hotel for the night. The Everglades are a huge conservation area with boat rides and lots of alligators.
